Welcome!
Sustainable Whittlesford is a bunch of local people interested in ideas and practical initiatives for re-localisation and sustainable living. You can find out more about us here. Below is some of the stuff we are currently up to!
Introducing WiLF! Whittlesford Local Food
Grown too much of your own? Want to eat more local food? Then tell us! Our aim over the next couple of months is to connect people that have a surplus of local produce with people who would like to help them eat it. The goal is to reduce waste and food miles. Why bring food from far away when we have already grown it here? Click here to find out more.
Energy Monitor Loan Scheme
The aim of our first initiative is to help people save electricity, money and reduce their carbon footprint. The scheme's official launch on the 5th June was a terrific success and it is now most definately underway. Click here to find out more.
Essential Viewing Film Season
Released in 2004, the award winning and influential film The Future of Food explores key issues around the industrialisation of agriculture and the genetic engineering. Click here to find out about this and the other films we hope to show.
